Last Friday, when I opened the letter box, I received a green envelope. My parcel from Malin (Sweden) finally arrived! I was filled with anticipation! I poured out all the stuff that she gave me. Look at the picture! (: There are quite a number of things stuffed inside the envelope.

Hand-made
1) Tote bag with a matching purse
2) Cylinder bag
3) 1950's inspired kitten softie
4) Knitted pastel-coloured teddy key chain
5) Moomin cards
6) Printed craft tutorials

Purchased
1) Vintage necklace
2) Tinkerbell coin purse
3) Disney note papers
4) Penguin letter set
5) 1 bar of chocolate
6) 2 tiny boxes of candies
7) 3 pieces of fabric

And a letter, of course! :] Everything looks so wonderful! I can never thank her enough, especially her hand-made stuff. We're already planning for a second swap, even though my parcel has yet to reach her, and that makes me feel guilty though. So I've decided, from my swap with Jean (UK) onwards, I'm going to send all parcels by air, though it's expensive. ): Just scrimp and save after I get their stuff! It takes like 2 to 3 months by surface, so it's unfair if their parcel reaches me first. Phyllis and Malin haven't received their parcels from me yet. Damn ship, move faster!

Anyway, starting from today's post, I shall write titles. I don't know why I suddenly thought of this after like, about 19 months of blogging! My titles may sound crap sometimes, heh, but heck. (:

I've been dozing off during lessons lately, and that is a bad thing. I can't help it, a few lessons are boring me out, or should I just blame myself for not having "mental stamina". Can't keep that as a habit, for this is a very crucial year. (Like what teachers and parents always reiterate)

Alright, got to motivate myself to do some work. Till then!

Lately, my life has been pretty dreadful. At least reading and replying emails make me happy. Besides, school life is screwed one way or another. Boring lessons, crappy tests and ____________.

Anyway, I went to the temple on Thursday, to mark my granddad's first year death anniversary. Being a Buddhist herself, Shilei was kind enough to accompany me after Physics remedial that day. I actually suggested on going to Lot 1 to buy some deco-tapes, but looking at the time and the threatening weather, I changed my mind and decided to head home.

There are a couple of things to look forward to within the next few weeks. First up is a parcel from Malin! I'm anxious to see how the bag she sewed for me looks like, and other stuff she got for me! Secondly is Jean's parcel! She's sending over the Jamie Oliver's calendar first, before sending over the parcel because she mentioned that the calendar is of "a strange size to be able to put anything else with it." I'm looking forward to it! Then after Chinese New Year, I'd be preparing a swap for Sara, whose from Minnesota. A small swap, to be specific. She requested for fabric and a particular craft magazine, which is unfortunately out of stock in Kinokuniya. I suppose it's rather expensive too. I'll save up then! And lastly will be a swap, combined with Shilei, for Carla from USA. She emailed both of us, surprisingly, so Shilei and I thought of combining! It'll be towards the end of February where the swapping will begin. Seems like I didn't keep my words, which is to stop swapping after the UK one. Oh well!

By the way, I've got another thing to look forward to during Chinese New Year. I'm going to _______! Go guess where I'll be going! (: (SHILEI, YOU CANNOT ANSWER THIS QUESTION!) It'll be the first time after about 5 years I'll be traveling overseas together with my family again. (Besides driving to Malaysia) I hope it'll be fun and I suppose I'll have the biggest luggage after the trip!

Off to sleep now!

I've got a really huge parcel from California on Wednesday, and I love every single thing. Look! (:

I feel quite bad because I sent my parcel to my swapper, Phyllis by surface, which could take up to 3 months to reach her doorstep. She knows and she's okay with it. Malin from Sweden is sending a parcel for me quite soon, and my parcel for her is on the way. I hope both parcel's won't get lost at sea! I wish I had more cash to send them by air. ): Jean from UK is going to swap with me too! I'm getting some stuff for her quite soon, and hopefully I've got enough cash to send the parcel by air! It's exciting to shop for their gifts (though it burns a huge hole in my pocket) and to receive stuff from them as well, since I don't have the opportunity to travel to these long-distance countries yet. Mum says not to swap so often as I need to use loads of cash, which is true. Perhaps after the swap from UK, I've got to stop for a while.

Anyway, school has been alright. Plenty of homework which I can't push myself to complete them sometimes. There's a leadership camp during the March holidays and it's located at St. John's Island. The sec 4s are supposed to train the sec 3s. Our joker discipline master told us that the island is really beautiful. Maybe I'll bring my camera along. Is this camp something to look forward to? Or...not?

School has started yet again. When I stepped into class on Wednesday, I was thinking that it's a new class all over again, because we changed quite a number of teachers. And I realised the new teachers took over our past teachers who couldn't control or tolerate our class.

Anyway, F&N 'O' level coursework question is going to be released in 2 to 3 weeks time! Think of the horror:

1. Staying up late almost every night
2. The amount of time we're going to use the computer
3. Frustration when we're unable to find the specific information
4. Refrain from asking our friends (but I think I still will. Perhaps just clues?)
5. The stress!
6. Must have really good time management (which I doubt I have)
7. The amount of work that must be done
8. To wonder whether we've done correctly or not
9. The confusion
10. OH MY GOD.

Oh wait. Does that mean coursework is going to clash with Chinese New Year?! No more peaceful new year! ): Alright, just for 1 year. ): ): ):

Okay, at least there's something to look forward to this coming week! (:<

It'll be a whole new year in about 30 minutes time. Had many ups and downs this year. Plenty. Forget the downs. Remember the ups. Heh. Be MERRY HAPPY! :D

Although I had a rough beginning this year, both in school and back at home, I pulled through most of them. I still miss my granddad deeply and I will never forget him, especially all the love he showered on both my brother and I-his only 2 grandchildren. I would think of him almost everyday and think of the memories we had together, specifically his adorable actions he makes and his what he calls me, Jolly, simply because he can't pronounce my name properly. But I love that name very much and now, no one will ever call me that anymore. (Okay, I'm getting emo.)

I went to watch Franz Ferdinand's concert in February, and that made me love indie rock more. Since then, I listened to a variety of these kind of music! These kind of music will NEVER bore me out and they accompanied me wherever I went and each song fits to different moods of mine. (:

In March, we had our Sec 3 camp. We won the best cheer! Bonded us together during that period, but the bond never lasts, from my point of view.

Nothing memorable happened in April and May. However, in June, 40 of us, students were chosen to go to Perth! That was the most memorable even of this year. I'll never ever forget that. (:

From July onwards, it was the most hectic semester! The F&N coursework almost killed us! Luckily we're still alive and kicking! :D In August, my friend and I had to organise Teachers' Day. It was tough, yet we pulled through and it turned out quite successful! (:

In September...my birthday! A quiet yet a pleasant one. Hectic month till October. Had our EOYs in October and straight after that, a couple of us from 3e2 and 3e4 had to present our Perth trip. Another hectic one for us. Especially Shilei, when she had to do up a video with our recorded videos and photos, and I to stay up with her (online, that is) to volunteer to accompany her to do the video. It went great, Shilei!

In November, a couple of us had to do up decorations for the oh-so-budget Prom, which went fairly well. From then until now, HOLIDAYS! (Alright, holidays are going to end soon. Grr)

This will be my last post for this year, so HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! (:
