I just came back from a 3 day 2 night camp on wednesday. FUN FUN FUN! Serimbun camp at Lim Chu Kang. SO FUN.

Monday
Reached Serimbun Camp at around 9 or 10 something. Had a short briefing by Jeremy (chief) and our instructors. My class instructors were David and Glenn aka Papa Bear. (: Then we thought of our class name, and it's supposed to start with the letter "D". So, within a few seconds, DRUNK was made up cos we always say that in class. (x

3e1 to 3e5 went to pitch the boy's campsite tents. After about an hour or so, we were divided into eights, for each tent. So sad, i didn't get to be with Jiawen. I wanted to switch with another girl, but she didn't want, so, it's okay. Once we placed our belongings in the tent, we headed for lunch. Brought our utensils, cup and plate. Sat on benches with our classmates. Oh, we queued for our food like prisoners-holding our plates and SMACK SMACK SMACK: rice and ingredients and fruits. Haha. And collected our own drinks. Waited for our classmates to be seated and we started eating. Food was not bad, at least it was warm. (:

After lunch, we had Nature Discovery Hunt. The instuctor-in-charge was Sabrina. We were supposed to find some stuff around the campsite. Bonus points will be given to our group if we find a toad and an earthworm. The guys found a small toad, but the earthworm died when they tried to pick it up. Sadness man. After we collected some leaves and seeds, we were supposed to paste them on mahjong paper and decorate it.

Had Obstacle Journey after that. The instuctor-in-charge was David. We had low-wall climbing. Once we reach the top, we're supposed to pretend we're a cow-boy and yell "Yee-Ha!" It was nuts. Then, we had to walk on shaky planks. CATwalk, i mean. And then pose. David, our instructor could catwalk really well. Haha. He seemed like the shaky planks were easy to balance, but actually, it's quite difficult. It was really funny to see everyone trying to balance themselves and posing. (x Then we had another activity which was optional. A few of us tried. I didn't dare.

After Obsatcle Journey, it started to rain for about 1 to 2 hours. ): We headed for MPH and thought of our cheer and item for the campfire the next day. Played some lame but fun games.

When the rain stopped, we Co-operation Corner. The instructor was Rambo. Funny guy. Because of the rain, we only had one activty. ): But still, it was fun. 5 people had to stand on 2 separate planks with 5 ropes on each side. We were supposed to hold the ropes which we connected to the planks and move together to the finishing line. It was very fun, though we lost to our opponent from our group.

Had dinner and headed for MPH after that. David and Glenn asked us whether we wanted to be blind-folded and walk around the campsite or a night-trail outside our campsite without torchlights and not being blind-folded. We chose the night trail, of course. It was really dark. Then we went towards the sea. We saw stars and David taught us about the Orion. How cool. We headed towards our campsite, had supper and took a shower. Since there were so many girls waiting to take a shower, Jiawen and i thought of showering the last. So yes, and about 12 midnight, we went to take a shower, and there were a few people in the cubicles initially. But when we got out, no one was in the toilet. Heehee. (: We headed for our tents. I slept beside Peiyun. We slept on wooden planks and Peiyun was really nice to share with me her sleeping bag. (: It was stuffy. Woke up now and then to fan myself with my notebook and to find Peiyun sleeping on my shoulder. Haha!

Tuesday
Was woken up at 6am by Jiawen. Supposed to wake up at 6.30am instead. Felt "drunk" and i walked like a drunkard! I guess it's due to the little rest we had. Brushed our teeth, washed our faces and headed back to our tents. Then we went to MPH for a short briefing, morning exercise and had nasi lemak for breakfast. (:

Started our day with Command and Conquer. My class was divided into 2, and were supposed to make a big catapult. We shot water-bombs at each other. So fun! Oh, the instructor was Fabian. He entered Singapore Idol! Too bad he didn't sing for us. But vote for him! (x

After that, we had Initiative games. Mich was our instuctor. Cool guy. Divided ourselves into 2 again. One group with Glenn, the other with Mich. My group was with Mich. The first game was like this : We were supposed to stand outside a very big circle and in the middle is a pail with water. (Mich said that there was a Magma from Pokemon inside. Then we were discussing about Pokemon and he said he loves watching Winnie the Pooh. How funny.) We were supposed to use the 2 ropes and 2 short bamboo poles given to us and remove the pail from the middle of the circle without spilling the water. We did it successfully. The 2nd game was to get across a string (which was said to be an electrical wire) which was tied between 2 trees. There were 2 thick wooden poles to help us. 2 guys held the poles while we stood on the poles to get over. During my 1st attempt, i fell on my butt. Heehee! So funny, but painful, of course. Mich kept laughing at me. He said," I'm supposed to feel bad for you, but it was so funny that i can't hold my laughter." So mean, right? Haha! The last game was to think of how to get across the "river". The benches represent the shore, while the space in between was the "river", which Mich said the "river" contained beautiful yet poisonous mermaids and hunky mermen. The benches were barely 1 metre apart. But the short thick wooden poles and ropes we had made the activity quite challenging yet fun.

After that, we had rock-climbing. The instructor was Junior. I rock-climbed just a few metres and gave up. It was difficult. Nothing much for rock-climbing actually. But during that time, Jiawen and i thought it was 4pm already when we actually realised, "Oh! We didn't eat lunch!" Get it? (x

We had Artspression after rock-climbing. The instructor was Wendy. We were supposed to make a banner of our group for the campfire that night. The banner's really nice, thanks to our hard work. (:

Had lunch and changed into our old shoes and dark t-shirts.

We had Saint Challenge after that. The instructor was Mervyn, i think. Again, we were divided into 2. The challenge was to use wooden "bricks" and planks to make a raft and to tranfer the planks and bricks 1 by 1 to the front and all of us move up. It's continued until the finishing point. We're supposed to sing at the same time we moved the planks and bricks. Mervyn said we were the first class to have 16 people to squeeze into 3 short planks. (x After that challenge, we were told all 31 of us to step on huge mat. Later, Mervyn and Glenn folded the mat into half. Still, all 31 of us to fit comfortably onto the mat. The challenge was that the mat was folded into 1/4. Mervyn told us that the other classes with about 27 people could not fit into the mat which was folded into 1/4. He thinks we can do it, since 16 of us could squeeze into 3 planks. And yes, we did it. We included Glenn in the mat, and still had space in the mat. We were supposed to sing a song too. When all of us squeezed, wah, imagine the smell of us. Haha!

After Saint Challenge, we had River Challenge. It wasn't exactly a river actually. More of a pond without marine creatures. Boss, the funky funny instructor was supposed to replace another instructor. However, Jeremy wanted to take over. So, okay. We were supposed to make a raft using ropes, 4 black floats and wooden poles. Jeremy used the moist soil to "highlight" and style all the guys hair. Jiawen and i got our hair "highlighted" and styled too. The other girls did not style theirs. When it was out turn, Jiawen, Cherie, Peiyun and I sat on the floats and Changhan pulled us over to the other side. Jeremy and Syahid kept splashing water at us. Then, after that, all of us had to stand in a circle in the water. Jeremy stood in the middle and he told us to sing " My Bonnie lies over the ocean.." that song. So, whenever we sing the word "Bonnie", we were supposed to wet our body until the neck. Oh, so dirty, but fun.

Here comes the disgusting part. It was Nature Rumble. We walked quite a distance with our instructor, Raymond (i think) and Glenn. Miss Chong, our form teacher, followed us too. We walked quite a distance until we reached the muddy place. we were supposed to lie down and get ourselves covered in mud. I was the first girl who was being asked to get myself covered in mud. Gross, but fun. Flys were attacking me. Eew. Then we walked back, rinse ourselves in water and went to collect our camp t-shirts and showered. I gobbled my food during dinner (as i was late because we waited for a long time to get showered) and got ready for campfire.

CAMPFIRE. The best event. Our vice-principal, Mrs Lim, came to attend the campfire. The emcees, who are our instructors were really humorous. We started off with the cheers. Here was our class cheer:

Tony: Drunkards! Are you ready?
Everyone: Drunk already!
Tony: I can't hear you!
Everyone: Drunk already!

Everyone: Drink! (clapx4) Drank! (clapx4) Drunk! (clapx4) Drink! Drank! Drunk!

Everyone: I drink you drink we drink what! We drink what! We drink what! (x2)

Everyone: Ooh ah ah ah (x3)

Everyone: Oh yea, right on, shouldn't be

tony: I feel drunk
girls: lala lala lala la
guys: I feel so drunk
girls: lala lala lala la
guys: I feel drunk
girls: lala lala lala la
guys: I feel so drunk
girls: lala lala lala la
guys: so drunk!
everyone: (clapx2)
guys: so drunk!
everyone: (clap)
guys: I feel drunk
girls: la!la!la!la!
everyone: *scream our heads' off!*

then the instructors performed funny stuff, especially Penguin. Haha! Each girl from every class were being called to dance to the beat of the songs, blindfolded. Our class was Jiawen. Though she didn't win, our class still cheered for her. Then we had to present our item, which was impromtu. Later, more songs blasted through the speakers, like "Spongebob Squarepants" and "Don't Cha". Jiawen, Gerald, Tony and I were going crazy, singing away. Then, the Powerpuff Girls (who were actually Boss, David and Fabian wearing wigs) were dancing to the songs. They can dance really well! (x Then, each guy from each class were being called (Benedict represented our class) to dance a mirror image of either Boss, David or Fabian and when the music stops, they were supposed to freeze. Boss was so funny. He was going "Alamak! Alamak!" cos he forgot that he was supposed to freeze and he held still on one leg. Then David and Fabian went to tickle Boss and placed him on the ground. When the music started again, they started dancing once more. Then, during one Indian song, Boss and David danced like a couple, like the ones in Indian movies. So funny!

When the whole campfire ended, all the instructors sang "Leaving on a Jet Plane". Jiawen, Gerald and I were singing our hearts out. After that, we had supper and went to tuck in early, at around 11pm. That night was pretty cold.

Wednesday
I woke up at around 6.15am automatically. Went to brush my teeth and wash my face with Jiawen and headed for MPH. We were told to bring our belongings along and place it on the field. Our morning exercise was to collect the wooden planks which were in the tents and to return them and once we're done, we had breakfast. Later, we were taught how to remove our tents and my class was told to do area cleaning in the guys campsite. Luckily we were not told to wash the toilets! Heehee! The guys campsites were dirty, and one of the tents had an underwear hung there! Gross!

At around 9am, David needed to leave as Mayflower Sec came over. Jiawen and i ran all the way to MPH to find Miss Chong to help us take a group photo with Glenn and David. David left after that. ):

We went to the field and found out we were the 1st group to finish cleaning our area. Glenn talked to us and when the rest of the classes were done, we assembled at MPH. Jeremy announced the Best Item, which was 3a1, Best class, 3e1 and Best cheer....3e4!! My class! WOOHOO! Jeremy forced us to cheer again. So yes, we cheered as loud as we could for the last time. After that, it was time to say goodbye. We couldn't bear to leave the camp. ):

-

I can still remember how Jeremy called us "Hillgrove!" and all of us responded "Oi!". And how David said "Arashi!" at us and we responded the same way. And the team-spirit we had. And how Glenn and David helped us with the cheer. And how we responded when instructors called us "DRUNK!" We yelled "What?!" It wasn't a bad thing. Haha. And how fun the instructors were and how understanding and caring they were. They always made sure we filled our water bottles to the brim and refilling it everytime there's a break in between activities. And how they asked us to headcount. And how i was one of the cheering I/C. (x And the the number of pictures the teachers took. (Jiawen and I were very enthusiastic whenever a teacher holds a camera, preparing to take a photo of us.) And how Jiawen and i super-glued to each other wherever we went. (:

The last friday of the school holidays. ):

Last saturday, i met Joyce at her house and her dad sent us to Spring Singapore, the venue of our theory exam. We were 1 hour and 15 minutes early. So, we studied and explored the ulu-ulu place. Heehee. The exam was okay, but i made a few mistakes already! ): After the exam, Joyce's dad fetched us to their house, but before that, sent her brother to M Hotel to take his theory exam. Had lunch at Joyce's house, and crapped and did my unfinished spontaneous writing. Then, again, her dad sent us to school for "Meet-the-Parents" session. I was supposed to be ushering the parents, which i see pointless to do so as most of the parents are accompanied by their child. So, i continued my spontaneous writing and waited for my mum to arrive. Shan't say about the comments Miss Chong and Mr Tan gave, but it was nothing bad. (x

I went to cut my hair on Sunday. New hairstyle. Don't look so dull. (:

On Monday, a couple of us attended a Leadership Seminar at Yusof Ishak Sec. 15 of us were supposed to be there, but heck, 8 came. How embarrassing. )x It was okay, quite boring. The seminar lasted the whole day-from 8.30am to 5pm. Grr.

I was rotting at home on Tuesday. Had Chinese tuition.

Went back to school for choir practice on Wednesday. Waste my time. That instructor acts GAY, as in homosexual. FREAKY. Went jogging with Joyce and her bro in the evening.

Went back to school again for rehearsal. Waste my time. )x Then had Maths tuition.

Today, i had chinese and maths tuition. It's make-up lessons as i missed both last week.

I TOTALLY DISLIKE CHOIR. Shan't elaborate. Yea, you might be wondering why on earth i chose choir as my cca in the first place. Since primary school, i wanted to join band SO BADLY. Mum said no. Fine, so i thought i could join when i step into secondary school. Again, NO. No choice then. Mum said i should only join choir. I regretted. Totally regretted. No point complaining actually. I can't quit. ):

Something to make me feel excited: I'm going towning with Joyce tomorrow. YAY. (:

.Saturday, March 11, 2006 ' 9:00 am Y

Great. Tomorrow's my piano theory exam. ): And I can't even remember all the Italian, German and French terms AND other crap. I am SO dead.

Anyway, this week is rather fine. except for Wednesday night, which i don't want to speak of it now. I saw a few of my overall results. I flunked my Combined Science, Humanites and POA. Crap. It's quite expected actually. I've gotta buck up this holiday. Speaking of holiday, there's TONS of homework.

#1. 2 English Worksheets
#2. History Worksheet and Mindmap
#3. Social Studies Worksheet
#4. I-don't-know-how-many Maths Worksheets
#5. Chemistry Worksheet
#6. F&N Worksheet
#7. Chinese

More choir practices during the holidays too. Sigh. ): We're not even prepared! Honestly, I'd rather have extra lessons during the holidays rather than choir practices. )x Oh well. Then this coming Monday, we're supposed to have choir practice, but I can't make it because I have to go to Yusof Ishak Sec to attend a seminar. 8.30am to 5.30pm. It's almost like any other school day, just that it begins later.

Oh yes, there's Meet-the-Parents session tomorrow, right after my theory exam. I'm SO going to die. Miss Chong (my form teacher) and my POA teacher, Mr Tan, is going to speak to our parents. I'm sure Mr Tan is going to tell my mother that I don't even know the basics of POA and blah blah blah. GREAT. )x I don't even understand POA at all. Okay, maybe just a little.

During spring-cleaning in class just now, i suddenly thought that whatever happened today or everyday is going to be history. Well, duh, you might say, but I don't know why i thought of it so suddenly. So, from today onwards, everything that happened should be remembered, whether good or bad. Yes, this is lame, i know. Can't help it.

.Saturday, March 04, 2006 ' 2:34 pm Y

hello people. i've gotten back my results. how terrible. i failed humanities. i failed science. i failed poa. i failed chinese. )x surprisingly, i passed MATHS!! and english. it's depressing to know that i'm failing everything. whatever, it's done.

we're gonna have our sec 3 camp soon. right after the holidays. 50% YAY. 50% BOO. YAY because i think it might be fun. BOO because of the bathing part. know what i mean, right?
